Skead Seniors Bill Hayes 969-3909 Skead 5 Bell Street, Skead, Ontario Events and Activities: Meetings are held on the first Monday of every month. They have card games monthly (cribbage, 500, Bridge, Euchre) as well as one on their monthly birthday celebration at which all the members with birthdays in that month are celebrated. They have recreational darts, recreational billiards, recreational table shuffleboard and recreational ongoing craft activities (stepping stones, knitting, florals, etc...). They have a monthly potluck; if not stew, or spaghetti dinner. In June they will barbecue and the club will also have outings from time to time. The club has a well equipped wooodshop that can be scheduled for use and practices a safe procedure of using the buddy system. This group gets together with the Older Adult Nickel Centre Seniors Club on Tuesdays and will partake in things such as cards and other social activities. The club has two annual teas while ongoing social events are still practiced. The club is known for donating to charities and offers two annual bursars to those selected.
