PERIPHERAL PORTING

RICE do a wide range of n/a engines Peripheral porting is the ultimate in n/a engines, we have many years experience with this style of porting. Typical power outputs for 13B engines ranges from 280 bhp to over 370 bhp (13B) with throttle slides and full engine management system.

All PP engines are fully race clearanced with competition high output oil systems to ensure long and reliable engine operation under full racing conditions.

Various apex seal materials are employed most common is carbon for endurance racing, however steel or ceramic based materials can be specified for chemical supercharging.

 

SIDE PORTING

Side ported engines are more common as some sporting classes do not allow Peripheral Porting, we have experience with every thing from street porting thorough to J porting. These engines typically produce power in the range of 220 bhp up to 330 bhp (13B)

 

All side ported engines are fully race clearanced with competition high output oil systems to ensure long and reliable engine operation under full racing conditions.

Various apex seal materials are employed most common is steel for club racing, however carbon or ceramic based materials can be specified for depending on customer requirements.
