K r x s t s i d e For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.
We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the OBEDIENCE of CHRIST.  2 Cor. 10:5-6

Hello everyone!  We just got back from high school retreat a few days ago, and God was definitely doing some awesome things up there!  If you talk to any of the high schoolers this week, ask them, "How did God open the eyes of your heart at the winter retreat?"  Or, to be more straightforward: "Why the heck do I want to be a Christian?"  God was DEFINITELY MOVING SUPERNATURALLY by allowing the high schoolers to experience His presence EXPERIENTALLY!  That's what makes Christianity different from all the rest- when we become followers of Jesus (saved) we are promised something SUPERNATURAL-the Holy Spirit!  Through the POWER of the Holy Spirit, that is when we experience God and see Him for how awesome and beautiful He really is.

We were created to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.  He is the only who gives REAL life!  REAL love, REAL faith, and a REAL purpose for living!  Check it out! John 10:10 says, "My purpose is to give life in ALL its fullness.'"

Uncle Steve, where are you?  hehe, well on New Years Day, I took a ride up with my friend Rob to San Francisco...Mill Valley to be exact.  I'm taking about a weeklong class up here at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.  We went through our second day of lecture and discussion-the class is Principles of Church Growth, taught by Leroy Gainey. I am learning so much about growing a church here...wow, so when i come back, i should be able to teach a class on church growth.  Seriously! Quiz me..see how much I REALLY learned.  But its great here...i got all the hard stuff done, and lately me, Rob, Ken and Mitch (both Japanese church guys from Oregon) have been just chillin.  We just got finished watching the Miami vs. Ohio State championship game.  Wow, this was one of the most exciting college football games I have ever witnessed.  Willis McGahee went down in a spectacular knee injury....OW.  Knees just should not bend like that.  Anyways, Ohio State finally won in double OT!!! Whew.
Well...we were talking about knocking off woodpeckers at Ken and Mitch's church...hehe, only in Oregon.  See, woodpeckers come and peck the side wall of the church like every year. So one time after Mitch finished leading worship, he heard the incessant "peck....peck...peck!" uh oh, those woodpeckers again!  So while Ken was preaching (he's the associate pastor of his Japanese church and he's only 25!), Mitch went outside and got his BB gun and started shooting...haha...although woodpeckers are kind of the endangered species in Oregon. Or something like that. haha...it was funny nonetheless.
Well, I'm going to take the guys out to Chinatown and get some mean DIM SUM!!!! whoo hoooooo...I am HUNGRY.  I'll be back in LA around the 7th-hope to talk to y'all then!
