• I was born in Philadelphia PA, I went to Saint John Neumann High School, and then to Saint Joseph College. Later, I worked at as a machinist apprentice at Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. I worked at Philly Naval Shipyard first as a Numerical Control Machinist, then a Production Shop Planner/Programmer, and finally as a Supervisor in the Hydraulics Section of Shop 31.
• In 1989, I accepted an internship to become a Computer Programmer/Analyst in the Production Control branch of the Information Systems Resource Office (ISRO). I met some really nice people and had fun doing interesting work. I was extremely disappointed when the Shipyard was targeted for closure.
