Hello all,

27-06-07: For the Intertoto 21 teams have been eliminated, 40 teams are still in it for the 3 UefaCup spots. Next weekend already 32 are playing again.
24-06-05: The new season will start, so I started a new 05/06 page with all the predictionsheets for next season! Have a look. A lot of leagues has not started yet, so I took the end of this season.
23-06-05: The Entrants list is complete!!
We can start the tournament: So we do, on Friday is the first draw already.
20-06-05: Only 1 team to go. Wisla P or Zaglebie.......
In the mean time did the intertoto games begon. There is no time to sit back and relax. On we go to the next season. Friday are the draws!! 13-06-05: I corrected some Soccerway errors(thanks Forum!) to let Dacia play UC for Moldova and make Metalurh Donetsk already qualify for UC, so one less Ukrainian place to give leaves only 6 open!
13-06-05: And we have our last champions: Shaktar, Brondby, Steaua, Artmedia and Neftchi! Congratulations! That means that we have now the complete CL-participant list. For the UefaCUp there are still a few places to give: a Danish(Kobenhavn/Aalborg), a Polish(Wisla P./Zaglebie) and 2 Ukrainian(Metalurg D, Dnipro, Illichivets). And ofcrouse 3 Intertoto spots. But that's all, we're almost there!! Ofcourse we have to see if all teams got their license, but we are almost ready to start the next season. We should ofcourse, as next week already is the draw for the first rounds! And Intertoto already starts this weekend!
10-06-05: So Liverpool will play Champions League next year, though they have to start in Q1 already. All there Summerplanning can be done all over again. After worldcupqualifiers some loose ends will have to be done about his season. Some cupfinals (Italy, Spain) and league rounds (6, of which 3 are the final round:Poland, Romania and Moldova).
06-06-05: Auxerre won the French cup and Viking, Mainz05 and Esbjerg made it to UC-Q1 because they won the Fairplay- spots. Though the regional groupings is still unclear, we are getting closer to the final list of participants. Also the Intertotolist is getting near completion. The most uncertain spot is Englands second spot.
02-06-05: Not much happening so pre-worldcup qualifiers. Another champion: Dinaomo Tblisi.
On the intertoto-front a lot is happening, slowly all teams get known. Deadline is June 6th, but that can never be 100% for e.g. Poland. Some teams are maybe in UefaCup already due to the fair-play spots (Young Boys). In 2 weeks Intertoto starts, the same weekend Denmark, Ukraine and Poland has their last competitionround planned, so we roll on from one season to the next without a holiday. For as 'spectators' this is hard, but for the Polish intertoto team it will be harder.
30-05-05: Some corrections, additions to the Intertoto-participants and removals of last matches. 9 countries still to finsh(actually 8 + the result of the Azerbajan play-off).
29-05-05: Also in Spain the season is over! Betis and Villareal are playing in the CL-Q3. Valencia will have to play Intertoto(will they??). More final decisions have fallen. New champions are Dudelange and Hajduk Split. Trabzonspor kept on their CL-spot, Galatasaray is back in Europe, but only in the UC. Bayern and PSV got the double, where CSKA won another cup.
P.S. I changed my CL-prediction with reserving a place for Liverpool. direct qualified for ROund 1 (the Titleholders spot). I am not sure what will happen, but probably they will play CL. (I have not yet removed them from UC though)
26-05-05: WOW what a final! Most exciting final I have seen in a long time. Who would have expected Liverpool would come back after first halve. Ofcourse I know Milan gets lazy when they think they are there, but they always score when you don't expect it anymore. Yesterday they didn't anymore(thanks to Dudek a.o.)
And what will happen now? Last word is still not said about Liverpool (not) playing CL. They got the title now, so a final decision has to be made but FA and Uefa probably will wait to see what the other does.
Further there are 2 more champions: Olympiakos and Wisla. Hurray! 8 countries are still waiting for their champions. Also more cupwinners are known - we are getting close to the final picture(not taking into account FairPlay and regional groupings). Draw is only June 24 - a long time to wonder about regions and fairness.
23-05-05: And more surprises this weekend. Especially the Motherwell surprise was not expected, and certainly not anymore 5 minutes before the end of the matches!
5 more champions this weekend: Juve, Rangers, Benfica, Fenerbahce, CSKA Sofia. Congratulations to all! we are almost at the end of all the leagues. Just a couple more CL spot are to be filled in and some more UC spots. There are some leagues playing midweek matches, and ofcouirse there is The Final: Will Liverpool punish those Milanos that should have been outed by PSV(sorry, I'm still not completely over it). Or will Milan have one of those few chances they'll get turned into a vitory-goal...
19-05-05: Well, that was a surprise yesterday, at least for some(a lot?) of us. Congratulations CSKA! They move directly to UC-Round 1.
17-05-05: I am back! 6 more champions lat weekend, Barca, Brugge, Rapid Wien, Partizan, Debrecen and Serif. Congrat! Lots of decision havae already fallen, but still there are some still to be made: Spains CL-Qr places, Italy still has a CL-Q3 place to give, Germany will have a thrilling last weekend, In Portugal Benfica needs 1 more point in their last match for the title, in Greece, Olympiakos is suddenly at the top again and in Turkey Trabzonspor is suddenly bacjk in the race again for athe 2nd CL spot, all Galatasaray has to do next week is to lose from Fenerbahce.
12-05-05: I will be leaving soon for a loooong weekend without internet. Next update will not be before Tuesday.
You can already check my new adress: http://kassiesa.com/friends/ricardo/. Yes Bert offered me a spot on his 'friends' site. Thanks Bert! I have not had the chance to check if all links work as they should, but there is something there already. If you find any erros/broken links - let me know!
12-05-05: And 2 more champions: Basel and Domagnono. And more cupresults.
10-05-05: A new champion: Rabotnicki!, a few changes in the UC settings and a new Intertoto sheet.
09-05-05: I found it time to publish some Intertoto information. It is still very incomplete, but at least the schedule is on there and the (currently anticipated) number of teams per country. First there is the schedule. all matches in yellow happen in the first round, then teams in the same block meet, where teams that enter in round2 are in green. And then in 3rd round the left 'block' meets the right 'block'. temas entering there are in blue. I hope that if you see it it's clear.
Below that is a list of all countries with their number of particiapants and then, if available the candidates. If they are sure, they are in blue. All info is from the forum. If you know more - mail me!
At least 1 first round match already seems to be sure :Inter Turku- Akranes.
09-05-05: We welcome some more champions: Lyon, Anorthosis & Zrinjski. Congratulations! And TNS secured the Welsh double. To my shock I saw I will be away next weekend with decisive matches like Valencia-Espanyol(can Valencia still make it to the CL???) Udinese-Sampdoria(which team will get the 4th CL-spot??), Benfica-Sporting(Will Sporting have a lucky month or just a lucky week? - this week, they first score twice in injury time to get to the UefaCup-final, and then saw last weekend the opposition losing points. Will next week be assucessfull, with first the title-clash against Benfica and then the final against CSKA).
First we will have some cupmatches this week, That still is the shortest way into Europe.
08-05-05: I am not over this Dutch shock week yet. Some people try to make a 'Dutch trauma' out of it, that's too much, but if I think how close both teams(especially AZ) were to the final. I lost a bit my lust for the finals. Ofcourse AZ were lucky with the outcome of the first match, while this return match was theirs. It's not they were better, but last minute goals are terrible.
But westill know only 1 final. Though I doubt Parma's protest will change the match result. There surely will be a fine. We already continues with the domestic leagues. Gorica and FC Tirana got their championship. Congratulations! Vaduz and Brondby won the cup.
The CL is getting its final shape. There is at least 1 Italian and 1 English team unseeded and the Spainsh team, Sevilla, is on the edge of being seeded(Sporting or Porto in Q3 would make it unseeded). That could result in maximum 3 teams per country in the CL!. That would inprove it (I think). If you look at the 'champions' in the championsleague, than currently we see 3 champions in pot 1, 4 in pot 3, 2 in pot 3 and 5 in pot 4. 05-05-05: So we know 1 final. One surprise team in there. It almost was 2. Maybe it should have been 2. I am not objective, but I think PSV was the best semi-finalists. It almost sounds very Dutch:being great(the best?) but losing in semifinals - The Dutch team did that before the last 15 years. Now it's time for Liverpool to fulfill their destiny: win the CL, but not being able to defend their title (or worse kick Everton out!).
03-05-05: Eurycantha provided me with a schedule for all resting cupmatches. I added this to the domestic cup sheet. I could not withold you that info.
12-04-05: I added another sheet with last league matches for the CL-Q3 candidates. At least for the top-10 countries. I did not include Scotland and Belgium, as it is already pretty clear where that is leading to.

CL Final:
25 May:Liverpool - AC Milan 3-3 aet

UC Final:
18 May:CSKA - Sporting 3-1

I put my uefa-excel sheet on here for everybody to see. If you like it and/or want a copy: click on the link that says 'Get the excel zip version of this'. Then select save to get the complete excel file. Actually it is not so different as others from the forum publish: Leagues are based on info from soccerway.com, this is just another format. I think I do nice coloring. I still have to work on the web-layout, as I miss the grid.
Also keeping it up to date will be time consuming, I guess. I will not publish every refresh on the forum(like some do).

For CL0506 prediction I currently count on the titleholder(Liverpool) to not qualify. Therefor there are 33 teams in the CL R1, as the Titleholder is not used(Currently Liverpool does not qualify at all, but would possibly take Eng4(Everton)'s place.

For UC0506 predictions are much harder as the FairPlay and Intertoto can not be gotten from a league. For Intertoto I have 3 place with coefficients 60, 50 & 40, as these used to be quite good teams(this year it can be e.g. Deportivo, Newcastle, Leverkusen, as they currently are not qualified yet for a european competition). Fair-Play I have put in Viking, as Norway was the leader, but the next 2 teams I haven't put in yet, as it is a lottery where these teams will come from.
Therefor the regional groups (can) have an uneven number of teams. Changes will happen to it, and depending on where the fairplay teams come from a team will be added or removed from a group. My 'prediction' will give an indication which teams will play in the regional groups and about where the seeding/non-seeding line will be.
