HCW:
Ric, son of legendary wrestler Mike Chronos, came to the HCW in a quest to get revenge against Adam Manson, who had cost him a shot at the World Title in the
RDWF. Slowly trying to work his way up, Ric faced Adam for the vacant HCW World Title, having fought his way through a grueling tournament to do so. Unable to claim the victory, Ric continued the war against Adam and Twiztid
Myzery, even bringing in long time friend and fellow wrestler Eddy Fate to form the Apocalypse stable and even the odds. Exactly one month after the tragic death of Ric's father, Ric won the HCW United States Heavyweight Championship. Ric dedicated his title reign to his father, and that's when all hell broke loose.
John
Kronic, unable to defeat Ric for the US Title, decided to take revenge on Ric's family. Breaking into the Chronos Vault, Kronic actually STOLE the body of Mike Chronos, causing Ric to utterly snap upon the revelation. Even after reclaiming his father's remains, something still didn't return to normal for the champion. Slowly he began to alienate his friends, and at Genocide, he turned on his partner Eddy Fate, and joined Twizted Myzery alongside long time rival Adam Manson, Adam's wife
Lilith, and the Insane Wonder, Matt Collins. Shortly, Kion Satsu returned to
HCW, and joined Twizted Myzery, re-naming it the Lost Souls. Soon thereafter, Ric lost the US belt, having to wrestle against Eddy Fate moments prior to defending it against John
Kronic, who then dropped it to Ric's tag team partner Kion
Satsu. On the following Monday, Kion and Ric then won the Tag Team titles from Eddy Fate and Ash, and with Adam holding the World Title, Lilith possessing the Brutality Title, and Insane Wonder winning the Television Title, cemented the Lost Souls dominance over
HCW. With the recent revelation the Eddy Fate is also Ric's half-brother, the maniacal side of him seems to have returned, making him a dangerous and formidable foe.
fWo:
Wrestler John Skyler, under the name of Fallen, had given up on everything. His tag partner had died, and every friend he had seemed to desert him. Listless and confused, the man known as Fallen was obviously waiting for something... and that something turned out to be his long time friend Ric Chronos. Ric joined the fWo with the sole intent of helping Fallen redeem himself, and after a long and twisted road of hard work and dedication, Fallen finally found the support he needed. Ric and Fallen captured the fWo tag team titles in an amazing four way tag team elimination match, beating the best the fWo had to offer to finally
beginning to take their rightful place amongst the fWo's elite.
After Tag Team and International Title reigns, Chronos found
himself on the sidelines. After Primetime brutally and intentionally
injured Ric Chronos, Primetime then turned his focus to Fallen,
putting him out of the sport entirely. Returned to the ring, Chronos
had joined with Fallen's other best friend - The Black Panther - and
the two intended to not only achieve tag team gold, but to seek
revenge on Primetime while doing so.
Shortly thereafter, Ric discovered the truth about the Black
Panther - the fiend had devised the entire scenario that ended with
Fallen's injury. Ric took on a personal vendetta against the
Panther, and passed the Internet strap back and forth while doing
so. After winning the 2000 Wrestler Of The Year Tournament,
Ric finally was given the opportunity to face his arch nemesis
Primetime for the fWo World Title. It took two tries, but on
the second one, Chronos was successful, defeating his personal demon
and taking home the gold in a match that was originally slated for
Mike Bear, who was unable to make it to the arena on time.
Chronos defended the title successfully at the first two
Countdown shows of 2000 - but at a high cost each time. After
the first match, his opponent, Mike Bear, left the fWo after losing
the match. The next night, Bear's partner, Wretch, repeated
that very action after also losing to Chronos. While
attempting to talk some sense into Wretch, Chronos was hit from
behind, and Primetime damaged the already fragile neck of Chronos,
more severely than before.
Chronos was sidelined for several months, and in that time,
Mike Bear and Wretch both returned, with Primetime being injured and
placed on the sidelines. Mike received World title shots,
holding the prestigious belt in the vacancy formed by Chronos'
injury, and that's when Chronos saw the pattern. Mike Bear had
orchestrated the entire event, out of the frustration from his
inability to beat Chronos. Ric watched as his former best
friend Fate used Ric's name to get into the fWo, and saw that Adam
Manson and Insane Wonder soon followed.
Chronos returned at Cyberslam 4, winning a battle royal to
earn a World Title shot at Redemption. Chronos later
interfered in the World Title match between Bear and Mitch Wilson,
letting everyone know why he was back, and who he was gunning
for. Aligned with Manson, on the next month's PPV,
Chronos shocked the world by beating Mike Bear and taking home the
coveted strap for his second World title reign.
Shortly thereafter, Ric came to believe that a
"curse" held itself over the fWo World title, and that Ric
was the only man who could defeat the curse. Sadly, he fell to
the Boston Strangler at Damned, and now the curse has the freedom to
continue.
