George Rawlinson
George Rawlinson was born in 1839 (where remains a mystery)
George was convicted on 4.3.1862 at the Hertfordshire Assizes and the Liberty of St Albans Sessions for breaking and entering a dwelling house of George Clark
(Bierton, Buckinghamshire) Stealing 5 watches, a pair of book and a pair of boot trees the propert of Francis Kindell at Tring.

He was sentenced for 6 years and Transportation. George left England on the 25.9.1863 on the "Lord Dalhousie" and arrived in Western Australia on the 28.12.1863.

After being in Western Australia for only four months he married Margaret Coghlan ( She arrived per the "West Australia" (a bride ship) 20.10.1859)
They were married at the Perth Cathola Cathedral on the 18th April 1864.

George received his Ticket of Leave 28.9.1864 and his Conditional Pardon 20.9.1866 Perth

He also received a Certificate of Freedom 5.3.1868.

After this time he left for South Australia with his wife and young daughter Rose Anna Rawlinson. His son George Rawlinson  later returned to Western Australia to live.

George was described as having Black hair, Grey Eyes, Oval face, Ruddy Complexion and Stout appearance.
