My ToyToy came to me at the age of 6 years.  She had been a kennel dog and brood bitch.  Though much loved by her previous owners they had to return her to my good friend Ann due to serious problems in their life.  I drove 24 hours straight from Texas to Kentucky to pick her up from Ann.  She is a true joy in my life.  From the day she walked in my house (even though she had never been in a house) she knew she wanted to be inside all the time just like my others.  It has been a joy watching her bloom.  She is my front yard protector, food taste tester, toy hider, cookie monster....she is my Pocket Dragon Dog!.
When Toy turned 7 years old 1998 I entered her in the Veteran Class at the Beaumont/Houston German Shepherd Dog Speciality Show.  She won both days to the cheers of the crowd and  wonderful comments from the judges.  She can move!

My Beloved ToyToy died in my arms at 4am Easter Monday 2003.  She had been fine on Easter, she met me at the door after I got back from a dog show, she watched me fix dinner for everyone and did the taste testing as always and before she went to bed she had her cookies.  I woke up at 2am knowing something was very very wrong.  I found her collapsed on the floor not able to get up.  She looked at me as if to say I'm sorry.  I cleaned her up and placed her on a blanket and then just held her.  There was nothing more that I could do.  She slipped away 2 hours later, but I know her soul had left before that.  Toy was less than a month away from turing 12.
