i remember being totally fascinated during these lessons, where my history teacher would rant on and on about how contradicting the gospels are, how most everything documented about Jesus conflicts with itself, or history, or common sense...

this the same teacher that smacked me on the back of my head with a ruler when i was napping off a niquil hangover in his class...

anyway, that was probably the start of my falling away from total christianitism..is that a word? well it is now...now i watch the history channel for other arguments...like how the vattican is hiding an entire gospel from the christian public, possibly written by mary magdeline...that according to the astronomical charts of the three wise men Jesus was actually born in the month of August, and the church only moved it to December 25th to acclimate the pagans, who celebrate Yule on the 21st (dad says it was cuz the birthday cake was late)...and my personal favorite, that the wedding where Jesus supposedly turned water to wine and bread to fish was actually his own wedding to mary magdeline, because for one, why else would his mother be there, and two, they are constantly referring to Jesus as "rabbi", which does mean teacher, but Jewish law says that an unmarried man cannot be the teacher of children...

*shrug* i go to church for the music and the people...
