The stars could not tell
Who's dream was who's
Dreams like the cliched dreams that everyone knows so well
And yet with a unique style all their own
Dreams of something better, happier
Than the seemingly endless solitude of the waking world
Dreams of someone to laugh and cry with
Dreams of something pure and simple and eternal
A statement of the dream by one
Made public in the waking world of dreams
Prompted a response of familiarity by the other
And in the sharing of the dream
A union was formed to defy the waking world
Dreams would become reality
And silent vows made to see that goal to its end and beyond
It is on the horizon now like the dawn
And a sweet morning dew kisses a carefully woven web
And the light of the dawn shines through the tiny droplets
To cast a brighter light on the two dreamers
And wake them together to live one united dream
