(MINA and ALUCARD are in a room, alone, a party raging in the next room. there is a sofa, and MINA walks to it and turns to ALUCARD, still at the door. MINA sits in the middle of the sofa, all the while facing ALUCARD, who remains standing just inside the door)
MINA (raising her hand to him)
Come. Sit with me.
(ALUCARD moves toward her, his arm outstretched to her. still holding her hand, he sits down, then kisses her hand)
MINA
It has been far too long since we last sat here together.
(ALUCARD leans toward her and lightly kisses her cheek)
ALUCARD
Far, far too long...
(MINA swings her legs over ALUCARD's lap, puts her arms around his waist and leans her head on his shoulder. ALUCARD puts his arms around her)
MINA
There. It is as if we never left.
ALUCARD
But how long can we stay like this? (strokes her hair)
MINA
Forever. (pause) If I remember correctly, I owe you a drink or two.
ALUCARD
(takes her wrist and sniffs at it like a delicate flower)
The days went by like lifetimes whenever I thought of that promise.
(MINA breathes gently on his neck)
ALUCARD
At times I thought the anticipation was as deadly as the sun.
MINA
The night has ascended. The wait is over.
(ALUCARD bites into MINA's wrist, while she into his neck. they feed passionately on each other for a few minutes. they release and kiss, looking like they are simply young lovers making out, but again there is an intimate exchange of blood)
