The RIA FCS Board is encouraging FCS Teachers to take on a state-wide community service project either individually or with their classes. The project is the Rhode Island Food Bank or a local food bank. We will ask members attending Professional Development activities to bring food items or checks for the Food Bank.
In addition, we are encouraging FCS Teachers to work individually or with FCCLA chapter and/or students in their classes to spend time at the food bank, especially during November and tie in with RI National Family Week.

To bring visibility to Family and Consumer Sciences we hope that you will let Dorothy know how much food is collected (in pounds) and delivered and how much time is given (number of people, number of hours.)
