Panama
(
Republica de Panama)
My longest trip yet was to Panama for a month during the summer of 2001. I went with Teen Mania Global Expeditions. We spent 2 weeks in Panama City doing drama ministry in schools and witnessed a lot of salvations. Our first day of ministry also happened to be my 21st birthday.
The highlite of the trip for me, though, was a week we spent in a Kuna Indian village in the Darien Jungle. We spent a week of building relationships with the nationals and doing a Vacation Bible School for the children. We slept in a hut on the floor, bathed in the river... alligators were sited in the river but none came too close to us, and ate rice for 2 meals a day. It was an experience I'll never forget!
Some Kuna ninas.
