| From May 6-30,2003, I took a trip to France with a cross-cultural group from EMU. We spent a week staying in a hotel in Toulouse and discovering the city. The next week was spent in homestays, still in Toulouse. I stayed with a 25-year old girl named Valerie. During that time, we had day trips to Albi, Courdes, and Carcassonne. After homestay, we travelled France for 5 days. We visited chateaux and cathedrales as we travelled from Toulouse to Bourges, Angers, Chartres, and Reims. We also went to Versailles for a few hours, but the workers there were on strike, so we didn't get to go in. We saw the Loire Valley during travel as well. Our final destination was Paris, where we spent 3 days. It was a wonderful trip and I just want to say that there is much much more to France than just Paris and the Eiffel Tower!!!
