20 Miles An Hour is the 2nd 7" vinyl EP from the Helsinki-based indie pop trio Harry Hunks. The EP is released together by Rhythm Barrel Records and Marsu on paras, a cultural collective from Helsinki who already released Hunks' debut in 2001. Rhythm Barrel found out about this wonderful band in 2001 while seeking bands for Meet The Scene compilation, on which Harry Hunks are featured with the track With Summer Wine.

Harry Hunks do the DIY/indie pop thing really nicely. Sure, one may detect the obvious Belle & Sebastian references, but please open your ears for hints of folk, country, slavic schlager, and more. The band's personal live sound, with guitarist/vocalist Matti Eräsaari leading the troops and the keyboardist Antti Ahokas playing the bass notes while fingering some tasty Rhodes, is boosted on this EP by a session bass player and a selection of elegant production tricks, masterminded by the band's drummer Olli Moilanen. The result is, quite simply, brilliant and easily the best stuff they have done so far. Just listen to, for example, the openers of both sides for evidence.
