This page is dedicated to our dog, Karnovanda's A day in the snow, call name, Lily. She is a purebred Siberian Husky, but as you can see from some of her silly pictures, she is a companion dog, not a show dog. She does, however, bring much love and happiness to our family! Lily comes from champion blood lines and though she will never be in the show ring, our family is proud of her and considers her a champion! Here you will find some husky ownership tips as well as some cute pictures and our breeder's information. Enjoy!

This is our Lily. She was a Christmas present to our 2 year old daughter. I don't recommend giving pets for gifts, but in this case, I was willing to accept responsibility for Lily until our daughter is old enough to take over. It is a lot of work and a lifetime commitment. Be sure before you buy to read up on the breed and find out if you can handle the daily requirements and responsibilities.

Like most Husky puppies, Lily loves to be a member of the family and we are happy to have her! Here she is "helping" with dinner. We have to sweep up the floor constantly because of her shedding, but because we have kids and like our house to be clean, we have to do this anyway and don't mind.

Lily has a new, secure dog run, once an RV parking space, that allows her plenty of room to do what huskies love most...run!!! She also has daily walks for exercise, and to socialize her with other dogs and people. We live in California so, of course, when it's too hot outside, Lily resides in the house. We also crate her at night for her safety! Lily's dog run is a cement slab, and the 6 foot fence is covered in chicken wire, which prevents digging and chewing. Some Huskies are escape artists, so you may want to lock your kennel gate too, just in case.

Lily is not a show dog and therefor we had her spayed. I recommend leaving dog breeding to the pros to only better the health, temperament, and appearance of our Huskies according to the standard. There are too many unwanted huskies because people don't take the time to learn about the breed before they buy. For more information on adopting a husky go to http://www.shrrca.com, a rescue site for Huskies in California or http://www.siberianrescue.com/ to search by region.

Obedience training for Lily is going well. Even our daughter can handle her! We are responsible parents and don't leave our kids unattended with ANY dog! Dog safety should be taught to every child.

Lily is quite the character. Like most huskies, Lily can be very mischievous! But I must say, the goods far outweigh the bads! When she digs we call it landscaping and she's so cute that we just grab the camera and laugh it up! We will be adding a kiddy pool for summer fun and sandbox for digging in Lily's dog run soon. She also enjoys giant ice cubes in her water buckets. She dunks her nose in to get them! (Use a Tupperware container, fill it with water, and put in the freezer for the "big ice." Be sure to pop it out of the container and put it in their water bucket so their tongue won't stick! Don't forget to refill the container for more fun tomorrow.)

| Lily has one brown eye and one half blue half brown eye. She has a beautiful, healthy coat which we brush daily to remove loose hair, and nice clean teeth. We brush them with a special doggy toothpaste and toothbrush to prevent tartar build up. You won't mind the doggy kisses as much either! Lily was purchased by an accredited breeder named Judith Russell. We researched a ton before choosing our breeder. We only wanted the best and we are extremely happy with our results! Judy is located about one hour's drive NW of Detroit, MI. She is very professional and provides quality care of her puppies resulting in healthy and happy Huskies!
