Stacey's Restaurant in Edwardsburg, MI
For our April meeting,  11 ladies showed up in their best attire. We were seated in clear view of everyone who walked in and we got "those looks" and usual questions. The organizer of this meeting, Cleo Gordon (also the Queen Mum's mother) along with Catherine Daggy, both of Edwardsburg, decided to be fashionably late by entering the restaurant about 20 minutes late thus recieving a round of applause from the rest of us. They live only 2 minutes down the street but supposedly got confused with the time change......yeah, right! We know they like the attention! :)

Cleo brought 3 gifts to give away that were her own art work. She asked various questions to determine a winner. Betty McWilliams of Dowagiac recieved one of the pieces for having the most unusal pet, her husband! :) Sondra Bookwalter & Betty Kummeth also recieved gifts of artwork.

After the meal, we played a get acquainted game in which we wrote down 3 statements about ourselves. Two had to be truths and one had to be a lie. After we were finished writing, we put them all together then took turns selecting a paper to read. We then had to guess which statement was a lie about each person. Who would have believed that Claudia LaPorte of Dowagiac had 6 toes on one foot? Or did she? :)

What a lovely time we had, as usual. The feeling will have to last until we meet again in May at the Fernwood Nature Center next month for Mothers' Day!
