| Cindy's Version - As for today at Janette's house. It was just lovely. I think there was 13 of us. But I didn't count. Neda, Jackie, Ardy, Lillian, Cindy, Ellen, Sandra, Sondra, Doris, Jannette, Mary, Hmmmm. I am missing someone(s). Better ask Jannette! Plus a guest of Neda who knows Jannete and me. Her name was Elaine. Jannette and one of her daughters played duets on the piano and organ. Also Elaine played a couple of tunes for us too. Table was decorated totally with Red Hat things. The table settings was just darling. We had several Elvis's recipe's. Fried chicken, water chestnuts wrapped in bacon and a barbeque sauce poured over them. Rolls, crab salad and a very delicious fruit platter with many types of fruits. Plus one of Elvis's favorite pies...egg pie that was the most wonderful custard pies I ever ate. We sat out on the porch over looking the lake. Jannets 2 daughters and one grandson served us all seconds and 3rds! LOL Plus drinks in a ice cooler that they poured for us. Jannete's husband also helped with the parking. All family members were dressed in purple shirts and red sun visors. Very cute! Big band music played quietly in the background as we ate. After dinner the daughters and grandson cleared everything away and we went down onto the lawn where Jannete's husband had set up chairs and the equipment for Elvis. Elvis arrived at 2/1 pm. He sang many favorites and also handed out several scarves to many of us. He also danced with each of us at one time or another. At 3/2 pm there was a break and we all had pictures taken with Elvis. One Gal at a time. Plus a couple other of us had camera's. I did as did Neda and Mary that I noticed. I had to leave at 2:30 IN time as did several others. But some girls stayed to ?? not sure what time. When we left door prizes were handed out...purple and red pan scrubbers. That is my version of the day. LOL But Jannette will have to fill you in better. |

| Jannette's version -The party was great!!!!! Had lots of fun and will bring pictures when we meet next. Everyone was snapping away and I think you'll see a lot. Really missed you. I think we had 16 people counting me. Was disappointed that Janet Johnson didn't make it after she called and said she was coming. So much going on that I'm not sure what all took place. I guess that best advice I can offer is to ask one or some of the ladies. You don't always view things as they were when you are in charge. All I know is that the food turned out good, our warm up band was good and Elvis took the cake. I think the party ended at about 5:00 p.m. or thereabout. Cindy was one of the first to come and she could probably give you a good account and even Sandra and Sondra.....anybody really....Mary too.....Lillian. Anyway, see you for breakfast with hopefully lots of pictures. Jannette |
