| Last weekend was a great and wonderful time as approximately 10 of us met at Betty's K.'s home in Goshen, IN. Sondra made it a special event as it was her first time ever to be in Goshen! Betty's home was decoarted in the spirit of Christmas and she has an electic collection of various things which was all so interesting for everyone to see. We had lots of fun touring Betty's cozy house! Betty prepared a variety of special dishes among which was a hash brown casserole, chicken & rice dish, a sweet & sour coctail weiner dish, sticky sweet coffee type cake, muffins and I forget what else. I know I do not have the proper names for the dishes. All I know is that everyone had seconds! Betty is supposed to bring us recipes at the next meeting. Right,Betty? It was such a special time of fellowship amongst us ladies. Without the usual restaurant noises that we normally experience, we had alot of good conversation in a more intimate setting. After the meal, we had a gift exchange and more talk. Imformation was relayed to us that member, Doris Ashley, who usually winters in AZ, was hospitalized in OH and getting ready for heart surgery. A phone number and mailing addresses was passed on for those who wanted to contact and encourage her. |
