Saturday, August 28 at Neda Brown's Simonton Lake home

We had a really fun time at Neda's house as she put together a carry-in luncheon and provided grilled chicken and burgers. Everyone brought such a variety of salads and desserts. It was all so delicious and I'm sure more than a few of us ate too much!

Neda's planned a hat making contest which was voted on by members and won by Ardie Eby. Her hat consisted of a red checked tablecloth covered hat and a picnic plate on top with articial food glued on top.  Honorable mention goes to Sondra Bookwalter for making a hat out of a paperplate, painting it red, then attaching feathers making a peacock. She and Ardie were tied to win until we had a tie breaker vote. Other events were a sort of door prize won by the person who had a red hat stamp on the bottom of her plate. Prizes were won and everyone recieved gifts from Neda of a seed bead bracelet in red and purple (of course) and a Red Hat pin or key chain.
Good conversation, as always, after the food!
Aren't we a silly looking bunch of ladies???
