Joann Romero accused Griffin of hitting
her three times in the face and shooting at her as she drove away from his
home in a gated community in southwest Houston on Oct. 25. Rusty Hardin, Griffin's
attorney, was in court Thursday and did not immediately return a telephone
message from The Associated Press. The Rockets suspended Griffin on Oct.
16 for missing a series of practices and skipping a team flight.
Kings win seventh straight regular-season game in Salt Lake City
SALT LAKE CITY - The Sacramento Kings have found a nice second home in Utah.
The Kings shot nearly 60 percent in winning their seventh straight regular-season game in Salt Lake City, ending Utah's unbeaten start at home with a 118-110 victory over the Jazz on Wednesday night.
Sacramento was just 1-4 on the road entering the game.
"I got scared actually," said Peja Stojakovic, who led the Kings with 30 points. "In the last few games on the road, we've been ahead ... but ended up getting cold in the fourth quarter and losing."

Not this time.
The Kings shot 23-for-37 (62 percent) from the floor in the first half and never trailed in winning for the fourth time in five games. Sacramento cooled off slightly in the second half but still shot 40-for-69 in the game and held off several late runs by the Jazz.
"We've got a lot of guys who can fill it up on this team," said Sacramento's Brad Miller, who had 17 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists.
Mike Bibby finished with 18 points,
Anthony Peeler scored 15 off the bench and Vlade Divac added 12 points for
Sacramento, which knocked Utah out in the first round of the playoffs the
last two seasons.
Sixers simply can't get healthy
You keep waiting for the Sixers to get healthy, but each time they seem to take a step forward with their health, they take a step backward.
They had just nine players available Wednesday night at Toronto and managed to pull out an 81-75 victory by using a balanced scoring attack. They were without guard Allen Iverson (right knee swelling), forward Glenn Robinson (left ankle sprain) and center Derrick Coleman (left knee strain).

Then, center Samuel Dalembert strained his left hamstring during the third quarter Wednesday and was unable to return. An MRI done on his leg was negative, but he is doubtful for tonight's game at the Wachovia Center against Boston.
The Sixers had hoped to have Robinson back by tonight, but he is questionable after tweaking the ankle again. Robinson suffered a high ankle sprain when the Sixers were practicing in Portland at the beginning of the month.
He came back right away because he thought it was just a regular ankle sprain, but after playing in four games, it got a little worse. Robinson has missed the last five contests with the injury.
"It felt all right; I tried to go up
for a rebound, and I kind of tweaked it a little bit more," Robinson said
following Thursday's practice. ". . . I'm not able to move the way I want
to. I've got to keep working at it.
