Captain's Letter
To Members of the Varsity Team,

As the season draws to a close, it is important now to have a time of reflection.  This season our team took great strides in all aspects of our game, from our ability to shoot low scores, to coming together as a team.  Looking back on this season, many memories have been etched in our minds that will last a lifetime.
Ending the season with a winning record is a great accomplishment in my eyes.  We compete in one of the toughest conferences in the state, dominated by teams like Seton Hall, Morris Knolls and Roxbury.  We started slow, but as the season pressed on we worked to improve our games and sucessfully surpassed the 500 mark with our record.  For this I am extremely proud of all of you.  I look forward to becoming one of the dominating teams in the conference next year and can't wait for Golf Season 2004.
But more important than the way we played was the way we interacted with each other.  We, including Saltis, became one team that routed for each other every step of the way.  I truly enjoyed our many bus rides and inside jokes that made the season extremely enjoyable.  Every day I looked forward to golf after school, and I looked forward to chillin' with my golf buddies.  We always had jokes for one another and loved to make each other smile and laugh.  These things made my season a lot better than my previous two.
Our goal for next year is to become one of the top teams in our conference.  Work on your games and keep improving and I feel that Rams Golf will definately have an advantage over all teams.  Next year we will be extremely victorious if we remain positive and put in some long hours of hard work.
So to the members of the varsity team, I say thank you.  I enjoyed each moment of every practice, match and tournament this season.  I look forward to next year.  I will see you all on the course this summer.
