My Favorite Movie

The stars of the movie are HILARIOUS!
A hilariously subversive comedy produced by Robert Simonds (Happy Gilmore) and directed by Tamra Davis (CB-4), Half Baked stars four of today's hottest young comics: Dave Chappelle (The Nutty Professor), who co-wrote the screenplay; Guillermo Diaz (Girls Town); Jim Breuer (Saturday Night Live) and Harland Williams (Rocket Man).

Politically incorrect at every turn, Half Baked has all the ingredients of classic, toked-out cinema: bad language, smoking and inhaling controlled substances, tasteless humor, dimwitted young men, gratuitous nudity, celebrity cameos and questionable methods of raising large sums of cash quickly. It's a recipe that will appeal to audiences beyond the short-term memory impaired.

Thurgood (Dave Chappelle), Scarface (Guillermo Diaz), Brian (Jim Breuer) and Kenny (Harland Williams) are twentysomething underachievers who live together, play together and worship their hookah, nicknamed Billy Bong Thronton. One night, while on a munchies run, Kenny innocently stops to share some junk food with a listless NYPD patrol horse. Unfortunately, the horse is a diabetic and keels over dead. Kenny is arrested as a cop killer!

A kind, sensitive kindergarten teacher, Kenny isn't cut out for life in prison. Nasty Nate, a huge, menacing inmate on the prowl for a companion, has his eye on Kenny. To rescue their bud from this love-struck felon, Thurgood, Brian and Scarface hastily resolve to raise Kenny's bail - $100,000, no small sum to our marginally-employed heroes.

Thurgood, who works as a janitor in a government funded research lab, finds that he has unlimited access to phenomenal-quality, government grown pot, which inspires their only viable solution: start a home delivery weed service. But only until they raise the necessary bail. After all, they're fund-raisers, not drug dealers.

Their efforts lead them on a wacky quest through the reefer subculture of New York City. Soon their scheme catches on, the profits start rolling in and Thurgood even finds a beautiful girlfriend, Mary Jane (Rachel True) who persuades him to swear off pot forever. When it looks as though the guys may just pull it off - well, everything comes dangerously close to going up in smoke.
