Objectives
- To train the students to acquire the ability of collecting
information from various sources.
- To train the students to know how to select and extract relevant
material from a vast sources of information.
- To train the students the skill of organizing and presenting
information in a logical, hierarchical and impressive way.
- To encourage the students to get acquainted with the use of
audio-visual equipment and information technologies.
- To serve as one of the ways to assess the students abilities.
Requirements
- Each student has to select a topic in the present A-level Chemistry
syllabus.
- He/She has to collect information from various sources such as books,
journals, magazines, Computer CD-ROMs, and Internet etc.
- Student's original writing and personal opinion must be included.
- He/She is then required to present his/her script in front of other
classmates and teachers. The presentation may take the form of lecture supported with
audio-visual equipment. Length of presentation should be 10-15 minutes.
- A copy of the script, either in hard or soft copy, should be
submitted to the teacher.
