| The Rocky Horror Picture Show (RHPS) was written by Richard O'Brian who also played Riff-Raff in the film. Basically the movie is about this couple whose car breaks down and they are forced to stay at this creepy mansion. Turns out the owner is a bisexual transvestite from another planet! Sound a bit silly doesn't it? But if you're into musicals, sex, or just want to see something that will fuck with your head, go rent it! There was a sequeal to RHPS called Shock Treatment. This time, Richard played a doctor named Cosmo. Again it is a musical, but with less sex :-( Darn...It again features the same couple as the first movie (but different actors) and instead of a mansion, it takes place in a mental hostpital and a TV set. Many of the Rocky fans did not like Shock Treatment as much as the first, but I like Shock Treatment for completely different reasons than RHPS. I guess they wanted something like the first movie. Shock Treatment is definately not like RHPS. But hey, go and see them both and you decide which you like better! |
