But, according to Sal Piro, the RHPS Fan Club president, "the 25th Anniversary will be celebrated in Las Vegas on the weekend of October 13-14." On Friday, Oct. 13th, will be The Fan Convention which will run from noon to midnight...The event will be held at CIRCUS CIRCUS and this will also be the hotel that will be having group rates for everyone to stay at. On Saturday, Oct. 14th, it will be THE MAIN EVENT sponsored by 20th Century Fox. It will be held at a location to be announced soon...(it will not be at Circus Circus). No other details, such as prices and special guests, are available at this time, but we will keep you informed in upcoming newsletters. Word on the street is that this will be the LAST Rocky Horror celebration sponsored by 20th Century Fox. This means this will be the last time to see large numbers of Rocky Horror celebs (and other celebs???) together on one stage. So start making plans and saving your money. October is only 5 months away. He was 74. This past season has seen Forbidden Fruit (FF) make a triumphant debut as a guest cast at the Clinton Street Theatre in Portland, play to a packed house in the EMU ballroom, and gain national attention in "Crazed Imaginations" a national Rocky Horror fanzine. On October 23, 1999, FF played for the first time ever at the Clinton Street Theatre in Portland to about 150 very enthusiastic fans. The reviews were VERY good, and FF left Portland that night with a new wheelchair and coffin (courtesy of the Cabaret) and their heads held high because they knew they could produce a quality show. The very next week was their big show in the EMU Ballroom. And even after the great show in Portland, knees started knocking when reports of the forming line hit the cast. At one point the line ran across the Ballroom lobby, down 2 flights of stairs, across the "Fish Bowl" and out the doors. All totaled about 150 yds long. The ballroom quickly filled up and they opened a conference area at the end on the ballroom up for standees. Once that was full, they had to turn away about 75-100 late arrivals. The show rocked and it's record attendance shows that RHPS may one day be a commercially viable midnight movie again in Eugene. Following the fantastic show at the EMU, Lara was approached by "Crazed Imaginations" to write a small article for the fanzine. What was printed was an excellent 3 page center-spread article chock full of photos.
