OLLIE RATLIFF 1897-1952 Illness Fatal Feb. 24 To Ollie Ratliff Services Tuesday For Well- Known Woman. Mrs. Ollie Ratliff, 54, well-known resident of this city, died Sunday morning, February 24, in a local hospital after a three- year illness. A native of Johnson County, she was born December 11, 1897, the daughter of the late Leander and Addie Selvage Ratliff. A member of the Freewill Baptist Church, she was a lifelong resident of this county. She is survived by her husband, Press Ratliff, and five children; three daughters, Mrs. E. W. Hall and Mrs. James Fairchild, Detroit, Michigan, and Mrs. Woodrow Fisher, city; two sons, James Ratliff, Detroit, Michigan, and Reece Ratliff, Danville, Kentucky. Also surviving are three brothers, Topsy and Clark Ratliff of this city, Leander Ratliff, Richland, W. Virginia, one half-brother, Mason Ward, Denver, Kentucky, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Malta Ratliff, city, and Mrs. Minnie Fairchilds, Staffordsville. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, at the Freewill Baptist Church in this city by Reverends Claude Preston and F. S. VanHoose.
