JAMES RATLIFF
1920-1977

James Ratliff, 56, died Tuesday, January 11, 1977 at his Taylor,
Michigan, residence after a brief illness.
  
Mr. Ratliff was born in Johnson County on April 18, 1920, the
son of Press and Ollie Ratliff.
  
He was an employee of Great Lakes Steel Company and was a member
of the Protestant Church.
  
Surviving are his wife, Margie Conley Ratliff; a stepson,
Douglas Adams of Dade City, Florida; a brother, Reece Ratliff of
Taylor, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Bessis Hall of Carlton,
Mich., Mrs. Betty Lou Fisher of Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Lizzie
Alice Fairchilds of Taylor, Mich.; and four stepchildren.
  
Funeral services were held Friday, January 14, in the First
Freewill Baptist Church in Paintsville with Rev. John Frank
Ratliff officiating.
  
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with
Jones-Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
