HARRY RATLIFF


Rev. Harry Ratliff, 71 died Wednesday, July 27, 1977 in
Pikeville Methodist Hospital after an
extended illness.


Rev. Ratliff was born June 2 1906, in Johnson COunty,
the son of Harvey and Nola Hampton Ratliff.
 

He was a resident of Barnett's Creek, a retired miner
and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.


Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Daniels Ratliff,
three sons, Everett Ratliff of Canton Ohio, Harvey S.
Ratliff and Harry Ratliff of Knob Noster Missouri; two
brothers, Jess Ratliff of Blanchester, Ohio,
and James Ratliff of Staffordsville; four sisters
Flora Caldwell of Chandersville, Clara Music of
Van Lear, Venious Music of Greenwich, Ohio, and Lora
Branham of Nippa; nine grandchildren
and two great grandchildren.


Funeral services were held Friday, July 29, in the Jones
Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends
Doug Burchett and Green Boyd
officiating.


Burial was in the Clark Castle Cemetery at Nippa with
Jones-Preston Funeral Home handling arrangements.
