NOLA RATLIFF RITES TO BE HELD THURSDAY
Mrs. Nola Ratliff, 84, resident of Nippa, died in McDowell Hospital at
11:15 a.m. Monday, August 13, after an illness of five years. The daughter
of the late Jesse and Clarinda Collins Hampton, she was born in this county
May 08 1878, and had resided in the county all of her life. She was a member
of the Rush Fork Methodist Church. Her husband, Harvey Ratliff, preceded her in death August 11 1950. Surviving
are five sons, Jess Ratliff, Blanchester,Ohio, Walker Ratliff, Springfield,
Ohio, Harry Ratliff, Lowmansville, James and Clarence Ratliff, Hall,.four
daughters, Mrs, Clara Music, Van Lear, Mrs Venis Music, Greenwich, Ohio,
Lora Branham, Hall, Mrs Flora Caldwell, Sitka; four brothers, John Hampton,
Hager Hill, Ed Hampron, Martin, Irvin Hampton, Covington, William Hampton,
Cincinnati, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday
at the Toms Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Revs. Claude Preston and
Millard VanHoose as officiating ministers. Burial will be in the Dixon
Cemetery at Whittensville.
