ELIZABETH RATLIFF

Elizabeth Ratliff, 87, died in her Bellevue, Michigan
home last Friday, June 28 1974 following
an extended illness.

Born in Johnson County on April 6 1887, Mrs. Ratliff was
the daughter of the late George and Mollie Smith Taylor
and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.

Her husband Jim Ratliff preceded her in death on
October 11 1955.

Surviving are a son, Marvin of North Carolina; three
daughters, Ruby Thacker of Southfield, Michigan; Margie
Stambaugh of Bellevue, Michigan; and Fannie Wells
of West Van Lear; 15 grandchildren, 26 great
grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren and a
sister, Sally Wilcox of Paintsville.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ratliff were held Tuesday,
July 2, in the Chapel of the Jones Preston Funeral
Home with Claude Preston and
Scott Castle officiating.

Burial was in the Richmond Cemetery at Paintsville with
arrangements under the direction of the
Jones Preston Funeral Home.
