Romans 3:10 "As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one."
Not one of us is righteous. We are all sinners.

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
We all have sin in our lives and God does not tolerate sin. With sin in our lives, we are lost - alienated from God. This leaves us feeling hopeless, sad, and afraid.

Romans 5:8 "But God commandeth his love toward us, in that, while we were sinners, Christ died for us."
God sent his Son to us while we were still sinners. We are not saved by our own goodness but by the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
There is a payment, or a wage, for sin and the payment for sin is death. Because we are sinners, we are condemned to death. But God loves us so much that He sent His Son into the world to die for us on the cross. He was not guilty of sin but carried the weight of our sin to the cross and satisfied the demand of the law toward sin for those who believe.

Romans10:9-10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
We must admit that we are sinners, ask God for forgiveness of our sins, and repent. If we believe that Jesus died for us and rose from the dead and we confess it with our mouths and believe it in our hearts, then we are saved! When sins are forgiven, there is no more reason for fear, sadness, and hopelessness. We are filled with joy and hope!

Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Whosoever is YOU! If you realize that you are a sinner and you call upon the name of the Lord, you shall be saved.
