Power Rangers Begins Its Eighth Season With New Heroes, Villains And Adventures In `Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue' Beginning Saturday, February 12 

Get ready for a phenomenal century as Fox Kids Network ushers in 2000 with a new Saturday morning schedule beginning February 5. 

Are you ready for the thrill of a lifetime? As we begin the new Millennium the hottest craze sweeping the country is auto racing, so Fox Kids has teamed up with NASCAR to create the first animated series based on the number one spectator sport in America. The adventure revs-up with a special encore airing of the 90-minute NASCAR RACERS: THE MOVIE on Friday, February 4 (3:30 - 5:00 PM/ET), and the non-stop thrills continue with the series premiere of NASCAR RACERS, February 5 (9:30 - 10:00 AM/ET). 

Featuring high-speed action and cutting edge animation, NASCAR RACERS introduces four young heroes for a new generation - Mark "Charger" McCutchen, Megan "Spitfire" Fassler, Steve "Flyer" Sharp and Carlos "Stunts" Rey. Utilizing the most realistic and stimulating computer animation available, the futuristic series presents state-of-the-art racing cars that can perform stunts and adapt to the unique style of each individual driver. The 90-minute movie provides a sneak peek into the electrifying world of NASCAR Team Fastex as they race in their first competition. Can our heroes survive in the competitive world of racing? New heroes, villains and vehicles are introduced in the series premiere of POWER RANGERS LIGHTSPEED RESCUE, Saturday, February 12 (8:00 - 8:30 AM/ET). When evil forces are released upon a modern city built on ancient ground, it's up to the new Power Rangers to restore peace and order. POWER RANGERS LIGHTSPEED RESCUE features an all-new cast of five young adults, each specializing in their own unique rescue training: Carter the Red Power Ranger (Sean CW Johnson) is a firefighter, Chad the Blue Power Ranger (Michael Chaturantabut) is a rescue diver, Joel the Green Power Ranger (Keith Robinson) is a top-notch pilot, Kelsey the Yellow Power Ranger (Sasha Williams) is an extreme athlete and Dana the Pink Power Ranger (Alison MacInnis) is a trained paramedic. Together, this rescue squad will utilize their special skills to save a city in turmoil from the evil villain Diabolico and his cohorts.
