:: TAHULIAN INFORMATION::

The Tahulian are, in simplest form, canids that have somehow developed considerable intelligence, and, due to an accident several years ago, magical abilities, which give them their exotic appearances. The scientific name for Tahulian is Veneficus canis, which means, specifically, "magical canine."

A typcial adult Tahulian male will be about 4 feet tall, and females are slightly smaller. A male's ears will always be ridged, while a female's ears are rounded, and more mouse-like. However, it has been proved that the female's sense of hearing is more than three times better than a male's hearing skills.

Tahulian are sorted into tribes and circles, depending on their colours. A tribe is an entire subspecies of Tahulian. The tribes are Tide, Forest, Canyon, Stone, Shadow, Liquid, Sunrise and Ice, among others. A circle is a group or pack of Tahulian that reside in a certain area. In each circle, the rankings are as follows.

Branche--Pronounced "bran-shay"--Plural "branche'e"

Branche'e are the leaders of any circle, who are in charge of every decision and hold complete authority over every member of the circle. A Branche is usually the Tahulian to begin a circle, however, it is not uncommon for branche'e of a tribe to be chosen by means of a competition or quest. Branche'e can be male or female, but there can be only one per circle, obviously. Branche'e always carry at least two golden bangles, as a status symbol, and will always have an opal gem for their collar. A branche's mate is the twii.

Twii--Prounounced "twuh-ee"--Plural--"twii'n"

A Twii is only a ranking in the circle if the Branche has a mate. Twii'n receive near-equal status as the Branche, and are very often advisors to their mates.

MudWatcher

Mudwatchers are the prophets of at least two different circles. The Mudwatcher of a certain area is treated with even more reverance than even the Branche'e, as she/he alone holds the keys to the future by means of incredible powers. Mudwatchers can be either gender, but female is more common. Mudwatchers live alone, usually at the peaks of mountains, and, although they would never admit it, enjoy attention tremendously. Mudwatchers will always carry at least three bangles, usually in silver, as a status symbol.

Watcher

Watchers are the basic, common guardian rank, and make up more than 70% of a Tahulian circle. Watchers each work with a certain type of magic, and protect beings and nature of that type.

Stormbringer

Stormbringers are incredibly gifted Tahulian that are powerful in weather magic, which is a rare trait for a Tahule. Their powers can range from control over rain, to lighting, etc, depending on their tribe (for example, a Tide tribe Stormbringer would very likely be gifted in rain.) However, Stormbringers only use their powers in the direst situations, as they believe that their gifts are not to be wasted on mundane requests.

Outcasts

An outcast is a Tahulian that has, for one reason or another, been turned away from his/her circle.
