In the United States

These Law Schools set out below are the first four of the popular U.S.News Colleges and Careers Center ranking for graduate studies in Tax Law. I have crossed-checked that ranking with many others - most are available through ILRG's Law School Information Index (although they do not usually provide law specialties rankings) - and I think that the first mentioned ranking is very accurate.

1.     New York University Law School (the best Tax Law school overall, with a specific LL.M. in International Taxation for Foreigners).

2.     Georgetown University Law Center (very good LL.M. in Tax Law) and Florida University School of Law (good LL.M. in International Taxation).

3.     Harvard University - International Tax Program (very good Tax Law program, but public service oriented; joint LL.M. / International Tax Program degrees available).

4.     The University of Michigan Law School (a new International Tax LL.M.).

Other Schools in the US that have postgraduate studies in taxation:

The Master of Science in Business Administration, Taxation (MSBA/TAX) of the School of Business Administration at California State University, Sacramento.

LL.M. in Taxation of the University of San Diego.

LL.M. in International Taxation of St. Thomas University School of Law / Walter H. & Dorothy B. Diamond Graduate International Tax Program

In Europe

Unlike the United States, there are not many rankings for law schools. Therefore, the information set out below is ranking-free and more dependent on my own private views. Besides these, there is the Introductory Course on International Tax Law of the Institute of Tax Law of the University of Muenster and the courses of the International Tax Academy of the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation.

United Kingdom

The University of London offers a prestigious LL.M. with a broad choice of Tax Law and related subjects provided by colleges such as the Queen Mary and Westfield College, the Kings College School of Law, and the London School of Economics.

Netherlands

Leiden University Law School (an LL.M. Program in International Taxation focused on European Union Tax Law and the OECD Model Tax Convention and transfer pricing methodologies).

European Tax College of the Tilburg University and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (an LL.M. in European and International Taxation).

The Amsterdam Law School conducts an advanced LL.M. degree programme in European Business Law with specialisations offered in International and EU Tax Law.

Maastricht University offers a LL.M. programme in Tax Law with a focus on International Tax Law

Austria

The post-graduate program in international tax law at the Department of Austrian and International Tax Law of the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.
