| Hand Wash (Always): Starting with a good wash soap makes detailing much smoother. We suggest Meguiars NXT Generation car wash soap. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Tough Grim: Use a degresser to cut through hard grim on tires, engine, and door jam build-up. Meguiar's Super Degresser is what we use allowing us to make large quantities for use with little cost. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Wheels: Use either an acid or acid-free wheel brightener to break up break dust on wheels. We use Car Brite Wheel Acid only available through a dealer, but this wheel brightener is similar though should be used with care to keep from whiting out rims. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Tough Stains: Generally scrubbing bubbles is an effective cleaning agent, though when dealing with set in stains allowing multipurpose cleaner to set in is effective. We use Car Brite's Multipurpose cleaner, though Pro C-10 All Purpose Cleaner is a substitute available to the public. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Overspray/Prewax: Before waxing, it is a good idea to clay bar your paint, this will keep you from waxing over industrial fallout locking it onto your paint. We use Clay Away with glass cleaner as a lubricant. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Engine/Tire Dressing: To give tires and your engine a fresh clean shine, we suggest using Eagle One's Water Based Dressing. This dressing will spread evenly when sprayed directly onto your engine and tires avoiding splotchy appearances. The use of an application sponge is suggested to avoid overspray. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Rags: When cleaning your interior and wiping away wax you will use many rags. We suggest using the best microfiber rags you can find. This will keep from accidently scratching your finish. Cobra's rags are highly rated and moderately priced. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
