| THE RACE IS ON. |
| The date has been set for the Stampede Shootout. It is going to be held on Sunday, October the 19th. This is going to be an all day event with the gates opening at 8:00 am. |
| There is going to be a cruise-in at the Hooters Inn on Hwy 98N Saturday the 18th starting at 6:00pm. Come hang out and show off your Mustang. We are getting with the Hooters Inn to give the racers a good rate on rooms for those who have to drive a long way. Stay tuned to see if they do. The track is only a couple of miles up the road. |
| We are now planning more races for the Lakeland Motorsports Park. "Mustangs vs. The World" is in the planning stages. Go to the Message board to put in your two cents worth on what you would like to see at the races. |
| We are also going to start a Friday Night street-style race at the track. If there is enough support. It ought to be a blast. Low race fees and possible money to win. Who would want more. |
| If these races go well we will be starting the "Stampede Points Race" that will start in January. Race for points in order to compete at the season ending race. If we can nab some good sponsors, the prizes will be excellent. |
| The Hooters Inn has made us a great deal. For all the racers that would like to spend the night, they will give you a corporate rate. That way you can be fresh for the races the next day. |
| Our new sponsors for the event are: Pep Boys, Need-4-Speed, and Bartow Ford. A lot of people are asking about the payouts for the event and as of now I haven't been able to answer them. The payouts are determined by the gate (amount of people attending) and sponsors. As of now Pep Boys has sponsored us with $250 in prizes, and Need-4-Speed has offered a Gift Cert for 2 hours of labor at their shop. (could come in real handy!) I am looking right now for a shop to get us a set of BFG Drag Radials so we can have a burnout contest but this is not happening as of yet. We are just getting started and if this event has a large turnout companies will be knocking at my door to sponsor us. It is just like trying to get a sponsor for your racecar and you haven't raced before. They want to see you win an event and then they are interested. I hope to post more as I know more. |
| Thursday the 9th of October: Stampede Magazine is planning to go to the Street Nationals at Race Rock in Orlando to invite some big dogs to race. I will have pics of the cruise in next month's magazine. |
| This Thursday is going to be a test and tune for the Shootout. Come out to practice or to watch. It will be a great chance to meet some of the racers for the event. |

| The next issue of Stampede!! Magazine(c) is going to launch with a new look and address www.stampedemag.com This new format will be hitting the web the week after the shootout. At this time we will be launching a new CD mag for sale. We will have all of the music, pics, and vids just like the website without the long load times for you still on a dial-up. Anyone who has an extreme vid of your stang's performance let us know. (Don't do anything unsafe as these WILL NOT be posted. Sorry, all videos cannot be returned.) |
