| This was the shot that probably many of you got from across the Kidron Valley (at least I think it was the Kidron valley that was between us and the Temple Mount). Below is the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. If you remember our guide telling us about that small wooden ladder. He said that it has been there for 105 years because the Church is occupied by 5 different denominations and no one can decide who will have the honour of taking it down. Originally, I think he said that the ladder was put up to get food to some monks who had barricaded themselves in an upper room. |
| This would be the hole in the floor of the church where, traditionally, the Catholic Church believed the cross that Jesus Christ hung on, stood. I didn't put my hand through this hole, I was a little uncomfortable with doing it.. |
