| UP AGAINST THE WAR This customizable script periodically replaces the title, status bar, and form element values with various anti-war quotes, and also changes the bg & text colors. You may also choose to temporarily replace all the images. After the brief "protest" display, all original values are restored. An on/off feature is provided to prevent viewer frustration. UNCLE SAM'S AUNTIE (anti-war quote quiz) The quotes are split into the actual quote, and who said it. Then, they are rearranged each time the game is played. Multiple choice answers are randomly selected for each quote. Thus, the quotes and answers are never the same. These JavaScripts were created by Randall Goya for netSperience ©2003. Use JavaScript to turn any web page into an anti-war protest!Show your opposition to the war in three easy steps:skip instructionsSTEP 1: (this is the most complicated step) Download and unzip PROTEST.ZIP (90 Kb) (see WinZip if you don't know how to expand zip files) PROTEST.ZIP contains this web page PROTCODE.HTM and the JavaScript file PROTEST.JS, plus CODE.TXT, which has all code for options such as: Uncle Sam's Auntie, Control Panel, Off/On Button, etc. Several image files are also included in PROTEST.ZIP: TRANSPIX.GIF (a transparent pixel spacer), STAR.GIF (bg for US AUNTIE), and fifteen badges adapted from Peace Pins (PP0.GIF,PP1.GIF ... PP14.GIF) If you use the Peace Pins images, please link to http://www.peacepins.com/ Upload PROTEST.JS and the image files to your own server in the same directory as your web page(s) Please don't link to my files - GeoCities has limited bandwith! Some variables in PROTEST.JS can be changed for different effects - Each effect (forms, images, colors, title and status) can be turned off. Add your own quotes, or announce meetings and demonstrations! STEP 2: Call PROTEST.JS in the <head> of your webpage(s) with this code paste in just before the </head> tag ALL CODE IS ALSO INCLUDED AS CODE.TXT IN PROTEST.ZIP STEP 3: Add this event handler (onload="protest()") to the <body> tag to start the effects after the page loads in the browser Add enProtest=0 if you don't want the effects to start when the page loads (for example, if you just want the US AUNTIE game) The Control Panel or Off/On Toggle Button will start the effects. Turning off the effects also helps when you just want to edit the HTML content of the page! Optional Features:ALTERNATE "All in one document" METHOD

Peace Pins let me "borrow" some of their images for Up Against the War. Their pins are great, so buy some and wear them to show everybody how you feel! If you use their buttons from PROTEST.ZIP, please link to Peace Pins! http://www.peacepins.com/ |
I'd love to hear from you
