Week Twenty-One, Day One

            Gathering what they have available they have twenty venom rounds, Tricrokra poison canisters, three environmental suits one of which is damaged, radios and foam packs.  These supplies are divvied out to meet the requirements of the strategy between the team and assistants from New Lyshy.  The tailing shafts are sealed with foam along with the entrance.  From the ventilation ducts the canisters are dropped.  Using the suits they scout out the poisoned mine, finding all invaders to be dead.  The shafts are cleared and the poison dispersed.  Far in the rear they find a large sphere-like “thing” surrounded by a handful of shaped obelisks.  O’Laura identifies it as a portal that allows transit freely from one place to another, in this case to another dimension, the Astral plane.  Simply destroying the obelisks which support the portal when it is not being tended directly would close it easily, but O’Laura has other plans.

            Seeing as the invaders saw fit to attack the mine and the people within O’Laura feels they should only return the favor.  She orders an attack through the portal while also looking for any of the miners who may have been taken prisoner.  A volley of grenades precedes their push into the Astral plane, clearing the area around the portal quite nicely.  A small base of sorts is found on the other side which the forces gathered immediately attack.  The former invaders are pushed back to what appears to be a boat where they are picked off with swift brutality.  Among the numbers is a form of dragon, small and red and very different from Dlar in many ways.  Lilly takes some samples and its head for later.  O’Laura has the area trapped so should anyone return to retake the base the whole area will be wiped out.  Everyone returns to New Lyshy and remains at the ready in case something happens in retaliation.

Week Twenty-One, Day Two to Week Twenty-Two, Day One

            While the team waits for enforcement to show up and secure New Lyshy for the time being the team takes it easy and works on their spell lists.
