The criteria will be shared with the students beforehand and they will be modeled so that students know what to expect and what makes a score of 3 different from a score of 4 or 5, for example. |

| How much is understandable? 1 ____ Could not understand anything. 2 ____ Could understand some words. 3 ____ Could understand a few phrases. 4 ____ Could understand some short, simple sentences. 5 ____ Could understand all or most of what the student said. |
| How does the presentation flow? 1____ No student response. 2____ Very halting. Begins several times. 3____ Some halting speech. Some short phrases flow. 4____ Almost no pauses. Very smooth. 5____ Extremely smooth and without effort. |
