(Road Name Abbreviations)

Below we have "started" a table of abbreviations for the roads we have identified thus far. This identified name is one instance and actually the roundhouse/turntable may have been owned by several roads over time so there maybe several road names associated with a particular roundhouse/turntable. If you have documentation of road name for a particular roundhouse, we would like to hear from you. This inventory is not exhaustive; however, this is an ongoing effort and with time additional images will be added.

One thing to be aware of is the "&" (the "and" symbol) can not be used in the file name (image name). To some computers the "&" tell the computer to do some kind of operation so by convention it is not used in the file names. This is why we do not use the "&" symbol in the image name, e.g., "BO" instead of the more commonly know abbreviation of "B&O".
