• Designed and managed automated SWIFT message production to increase productivity and reduce errors. Liased with users, assessed business requirements and drew up specifications for developers.
• Designed Straight-Through Processing system (including database design) to integrate front-office forex trading system and back-office cash management system.
• Designed and developed Java / XML-based integration between PC and AS/400 back-end system API’s using servlets and a socket server. Saved company in excess of CAN$ 100,000, which was the price of an external product. My application is now used in both the South African and London branches of Investec and is the principle method of access to the back-office system.
• Designed and developed Visual Basic and Python integration applications using SQL Server 7 and Sybase.
• Coordinated Treasury IT Operations staff (6 staff members)
• Drew up budget for Treasury IT area
