So who am I?
A private citizen, i.e., not affiliated with an official organization,
who is conducting exploration and research into the use of traditional
corporal punishment in American homes and schools. A continuing interest
in this topic beyond the mass of cold data that has been gathered on it,
and a perspective free of the current politically correct opposition to
corporal punishment that seems to drive most of the primary research,
motivates him.
Why do I remain anonymous?
Because this field is full of people with an agenda approaching the
rabidness of politics who would go to great lengths to attack anyone who
disagrees with their view. Because I have a whole other life and am not
pursuing a cause celebre' I do not want to embroil myself in
controversy and debate I choose to deflect that avenue of attack and
criticism through anonymity. I have an interest in CP. I wish to pursue
it in relative peace.
Personal details?
While not sure how relevant that really is here, here are a few to round
out a little bit of the person. I live in the South, have an avid
interest in history, keep and ride horses, camp and hike. I love good
Southern cooking, and have an avid interest in travel. I enjoy meeting
all cultures and engaging in their customs and foods. I am single, 50,
have raised a family, am a very proud veteran, actively involved
in my community, and work in a professional job.
