Meeting called to order at 7:35pm.
Motion to approve minutes from previous meeting made by Judy and
seconded by Kathy Burgardt.

AHS Administration Liaison- Kathy Burgardt
Mrs. Burgardt mentioned how well behaved the students are and how well
they represent the school. She also mentioned that the administration
saw us at band camp and commended the students for how well behaved and
mature they were.
Membership Report – Sandhya
Sandhya mentioned that we need more volunteers for various events. We
also need some more truck drivers for events such as San Jose HSBD.
Publicity Report – Sylvia
Sylvia has sent out information regarding various fundraising events
and will publicize the upcoming performances as well.
Fundraising Report – Anthony
On September 16th we will start the We Care Coffee fundraiser, which
will include the top 12 items/products of their catalogue.
We will also be handing out the Parade-A-Thon form, which is what we
use during the Newark Days Parade to help raise funds.
September 21st will be an “eating out” fundraiser, time and location is
TBA.
We also have the SHARES card, when you use the card at Lucky, Savemart
etc. a percentage will go back to the band.
Treasurer’s Report - Judy Caballeros- NO report for September, the
following is from the June meeting.
Checking Balance as of May 1st: $18,432.51 Checking Balance as of May
30th: $14,737.29 Savings is $5,518.37 Our Total is $20,305.66
Reimbursements- for September
Jennie for $600.00 Instructor Fee for August
Anthony for $471.06 for percussion equipment
Judy for $ 98.29 for canopy
Judy for $20.25 for ice for Band Camp potluck
Diana for $ 19.15 for food prep for end of camp potluck
Eric made a motion to pay the bills. Robert Cook seconded the motion,
and it was approved by those in attendance.
Food Committee:

Old Business
We still have band jackets for sale $40.00 and they are located in the
band room.

Student Forum:
Nothing to report
Eric moved to adjourn the meeting seconded by Anthony. Motion passed by
those in attendance. Meeting adjourned at 8:34 pm. The next meeting is
October 13th, 2009 at 7:30pm.
