Since that wonderous day in Feb. little Iris Skye has made quite an impact on our lives. Her big brother Josh just can't seem to get enough of her. Sometimes it seems we have to pry him away from Iris to get anything done. "I want to kiss my baby girl", constantly comes out of his mouth. She has grown so much as the time has just flown by. In two weeks she will be 6 months old. WOW!!! Six months already?! Last count she was 16 lbs. and 25 1/2+ inches long. I guess when she starts standing we can call her __" tall. Until then we're stuck with "long". Also, she has developed a nickname, peewee.
As a man I never imagined in my earlier life that I could get choked up and shed a tear just from looking at a child, but from the first time she breathed the air of our world I've shed many tears of joy as I gaze at my little flower. Just to sit by her crib at night and sing her our little song and rub her wee belly as she sleepily stares up at her daddy, brings me such joy as I've never known.
