The Japanese Dog's first ever RFSL regular season game came against the heavily favored American Loyalists. Being such an underdog, the Dogs came into the game hoping just to be competitive, and they did just that. Despite having a lazy offensive day, the Dog defense played with intensity and proved they were going to be competitive this season. The Loyalists came out on top even though they only scored 14. The final score was 14-10 in favor of the Loyalists.
The Dogs couldnt get it done on the ground having just 10 total rushing yards. Alex Okano led the inexplosive ground game with 13 carries for 12 yards (.9 yards per carry) and the Dogs only touchdown. Quarterback Huert Eerer was 21 for 46 with 212 yards. He threw one interception during the game to Loyalist Defender, Brady Collins. Eerer finished the game with a 50.4 QB rating. The Dogs' leading receiver was Tight End, Mini Shark with 5 receptions. However, Billy Madison led the team in Yards (67) and Yards Per Catch (16.7).
The Dogs got it done defensivly causing 2 turnovers and allowing less than 250 yards of offense. Spencer Suk led the Dogs defense with 6 tackles. Linebackers, Ron Jeremy and Drew Miller both had a tackle for a loss. William Raycroft and DeAnderson Sabathia both intercepted Kawika Rockefeller passes. Miller, Raycroft, Sabathia and Safety, Andre James each had one deflected pass. |
