It all started with Scandinavian folk. I like that, and Cajun uses pretty much the same instruments - fiddle and accordian. Also, I remembered hearing and reading about a great group called BeauSoleil, who came to Eugene a few years back and got rave reviews. "Who are these guys, and why are they so good?", I thought. So, I found a webpage (this one) with some of their sound clips. I listened, and I liked it. After a while, I decided to buy one of BeauSoleil's CDs. The rest (4 BeauSoleil CDs later, to be specific) is history.
