The RFA-2000 is a unique real-time
Fuel-Air-Ratio (FAR) analyzer capable of measuring fluctuating FAR at frequencies up to
500 Hz. It is an ideal tool for testing fuel-injector mixing performance, critical in the
design of low-emissions combustion systems. The RFA-2000 also provides invaluable data for
testing and developing fuel injectors for IC engines, furnaces and even utility boilers.
The real-time FAR data from the RFA-2000 when processed, can actually predict the
emissions performance of an injector/premixer design without requiring expensive and time
consuming emissions testing. Using line-of-sight infrared absorption at 3.4 microns,
the RFA-2000 can detect most hydrocarbon fuels with high sensitivity.
