September was a good and bad month for Nolan.
He wound up having severe ROP in both of his eyes. We had to
transport him via ambulance to a new Hospital, Baylor University,
that specialized in eye surgery.
Once we were there Nolan would wind up have
laser surgery in both eyes, and then later on having buckles
placed around both eyes to try and prevent the retina from detaching.
Dad is still commuting back and forth from Denver, and flying
would now be much more challenging due to the September 11th
attacks.
These pictures show his new home at Baylor.
You can see that Nolan is getting bigger, but his lungs still
need help (note the blue hoses in the pictures).
